Prospective students meet with the Program Director for a personal interview to review the Objectives of the Program and discussed  the student's goals to determined if the individual can benefit for participating in the Montessori Teacher Education Program. An entrance exam, if deemed necessary, will be administered at this time.

Once the application has been received, reviewed and accepted, the applicant receives the Student Handbook and can begin the coursework.

  • AMS EARLY CHILDHOOD CREDENTIAL - Student must hold a Bachelors Degree from an accredited four-year College or University verified by official transcripts.

  • AMS EARLY CHILDHOOD ASSOCIATE CREDENTIAL - Student must hold a High School Graduation Diploma verified by an official transcript. 

  • AMS INTERNATIONAL EARLY CHILDHOOD CREDENTIAL - Student holds a Bachelors Degree from an international institution verified by official transcripts. 


Montessori Teacher Academy is open to all persons who are at least 18 years of age and able to benefit from the instruction offered. It is preferred that the applicant has some experience with young children.
